Talent will out – or so they say. The media/creative industries are awash with stories of ambitions frustrated for rejected writers, resentful at perceived slants and prejudices that have nothing to do with their work. Most times, I guess, it is a case of looking for excuses when what’s written really isn’t good enough, but this tale from the Guardian’s Film & Music section is a salutary one.
